Wildfire Survivors Checklist

January 31, 2019 is an important deadline for survivors of the Camp and Woolsey Fires. As Phase 1 (Household Hazardous Waste operations) nears completion and Phase 2 (Debris Removal operations) begins, there is a fast-approaching deadline, which property owners should keep in mind. In order to take advantage of theCalOES led Consolidated Debris Removal Program, a Right of Entry Form must be completed, signed and submitted by January 31 (Note: Ventura County deadline was January 14 and has passed).

Also, the last day to apply for FEMA disaster assistance is January 31. Survivors can apply for disaster aid at disasterassistance.gov. Applicants may also apply over the phone by calling 800-621-3362 (711/Video Relay Service or TTY at 800-462-7585), or in person at a Disaster Recovery Center. Currently, more than 26,000 survivors have registered to receive FEMA assistance.

In addition, for residents or businesses seeking federal disaster loans, the final day to apply is January 31. Applicants may apply online and download applications at https://disasterloan.sba.gov/ela. Applicants may also call SBA’s Customer Service Center at 800-659-2955 or email disastercustomerservice@sba.gov for more information on SBA disaster assistance.
