Paradise Residents Will Soon Enjoy a Break from the Heat Thanks to Paradise Irrigation District, Cal Fire and Paradise Recreation & Parks District

The filling of the Paradise Recreation & Parks community pool in Paradise arrives just in time to beat the heat. The swimming pool at the Paradise Aquatic Park at 5600 Recreation Drive was filled on July 11, 2019 with the help of local Cal Fire Engine 83. The water used to fill the pool was from a nearby hydrant which was tested by the Paradise Irrigation District and certified as meeting the water quality standards for the State of California. This represents another step forward for the community of Butte County and may offer residents a small sense of normalcy after the Camp Fire that devastated the area eight months ago.

Community services, public utilities, and infrastructure in Paradise and surrounding areas are gradually being implemented, repaired and replaced resulting in the Town of Paradise issuing its first Certificate of Occupancy allowing the first residents who completed a rebuild to be able to move back into their home. At the latest community meeting, Paradise Irrigation District (PID) presented their latest water quality findings and offered timelines for replacement of lateral water lines. Please view the entire PID community meeting on our Cal OES YouTube channel.
