Local Assistance Center Opens in Shasta County for Wildfire Survivors

Published:

In the ongoing response and recovery mission to support wildfire survivors impacted by the 2020 fire siege across California, the California Governor’s Office of Emergency Services (Cal OES) in joint support from local, state and federal agencies are announcing the opening of a new Local Assistance Center (LAC) in addition to those centers already operating in other counties to aid wildfire survivors.  The Shasta County LAC is intended to support survivors affected by the Zogg Fire that broke out on September 27.

LACs are activated following major disasters to support survivors and businesses that have suffered disaster-related losses or damages. Each center is unique and locally-driven with support from local, state, federal and non-profit agencies. We strongly recommend you reach out to the County or Local Assistance Center directly for the best information on recovery services. We will provide updates as new information becomes available.
