Governor Newsom Announces New California Cyber Security Integration Center Commander

SACRAMENTO – Governor Gavin Newsom today announced the following appointment:

Jonathan Nunez, 33, of Tigard, OR, has been appointed California cyber security integration center commander at the Governor’s Office of Emergency Services. Nunez was director of cyber advisory services at Dark Matter LLC in 2019. He was senior manager of cyber risk services at Deloitte from 2017 to 2019. Nunez was security managing consultant for Accenture from 2015 to 2017, IT SOC advisor at CVS Health from 2014 to 2015 and lead data scientist at Booz Allen Hamilton from 2010 to 2014. He was a network intelligence analyst for the U.S. Air Force from 2004 to 2010. Nunez is a member of EC-Council ECIH Global Advisory Board. This position does not require Senate confirmation and the compensation is $160,008. Nunez is a Democrat.
