Connecting California Manufacturers to California Businesses

Published:

As part of Cal OES ongoing effort to help California businesses impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic, the agency today announced a new website connecting businesses to local sources of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).

The website, which was produced in partnership with the California Manufacturers and Technology Association (CMTA) and California Governor’s Office of Business and Economic Development (Go Biz) allows small businesses, healthcare providers and others in need of PPE to purchase PPE directly from California-based businesses.

This website will help get more Californians back into the workforce, through manufacturing and supporting local business. It also puts restaurant owners, agricultural workers, and retailers, to name a few, first in line to receive PPE.

For more information about California PPE manufacturers, go to SafelyMakingCA.org.

“Early on during this global pandemic, we fully integrated CMTA into the state’s COVID-19 response. The leg work done on the front end helped launch this website. This will ultimately provide PPE to business owners who would have nowhere to turn,” said Abby Browning, Chief, Office of Private Sector and NGO Coordination.

California based manufacturers interested in providing PPE to California businesses may go to SafelyMakingCA.org and submit the questionnaire to be considered.
