Cal OES Is Offering Two New Grant Opportunities

Published:

The California Governor’s Office of Emergency Services (Cal OES) is offering two new grant opportunities in the transfer of Knowledge Program (KO) and the Special Needs School Transportation Camera (SN) Program.

The purpose of the KO Program is to coordinate statewide workshops for various disciplines involved in the investigation and prosecution of child abuse and neglect cases to meet to identify what is working, what is not working, and to discuss barriers to effective investigation and prosecution. The information gathered from the workshops may also be used to identify gaps for the Children’s Justice Act (CJA) Task Force so they can make program recommendations.

The performance period is April 1, 2020 through March 31, 2021. Submission deadline is Friday, February 28, 2020.

Individual Applicants may request up to $140,000.

The SN Program is intended to provide cameras on school transportation used by pre-K through high school students with disabilities/special needs to identify abusive behavior that may occur between students and/or between students and bus drivers/school personnel.

The performance period is July 1, 2020, through June 30, 2022. Submission deadline is Friday, March 6, 2020.
