Cal OES Coordinates Watershed Protection Measures in Burn Scarred Areas of California

Large swaths of Butte County burned in this year’s North Complex fire. The town of Berry Creek suffered a lot of damage, and is up-stream from Madrone Lake and Lake Oroville; both lakes supply the county with drinking water. So it’s critical to keep any toxic elements out of the county’s watershed, and work is being done right now prior to this fall and winter’s rain.
