Update on Cal State Los Angeles Community Vaccination Center

Published:

On behalf of the Governor’s Office of Emergency Services (Cal OES) and Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) we would like to thank the public for the outpouring of interest today for vaccination appointments at the Community Vaccination Center at Cal State LA.

Because of the high volume of walk-ups this morning – driven by increased media coverage overnight – we are no longer able to accommodate walk-ups today (April 8).

Individuals currently waiting in line without appointments or those who want to be vaccinated at this site in the coming days should make an appointment through visiting the state’s MyTurn.ca.gov website or by calling 833-422-4255 prior to coming to Cal State LA.

The enthusiasm and interest from the public has been overwhelming and positive today and demand has far outnumbered the limited supply of 7,000 vaccines per day that we are able to administer. We look forward to vaccinating as many individuals as we can each day between now and Sunday, when we transition operational control of the site to the City of Los Angeles.

We reiterate the only way to guarantee yourself an appointment at the Cal State LA site is to register ahead of time through the MyTurn system.
