The California Governor’s Office of Emergency Services is growing our best-in-class multimedia team to better serve Californians during disasters.
We are actively recruiting to fill several roles within the Multimedia Services Branch of our Office of Crisis Communications and Public Affairs.
These positions will serve on the frontlines of providing Californians the most up to date information on wildfires, earthquakes, COVID-19, cybersecurity and much more. From breaking news press conferences to rapid-response video content and live-streaming in the field, we continually look for ways to upgrade our digital presence to provide real-time updates to Californians on issues of public health and safety.

Multimedia Services Manager (Staff Services Manager II)

Salary: $7,028 – $8,732 per month
The Multimedia Services Manager oversees a team of videographers, photographers and graphic designers within the Office of Crisis Communications and Public Affairs. This position helps provide a story-telling component within the team, using audio and visual creativity to communicate publicly.

Multimedia Specialist (Television Specialist)

Salary: $5,383 – $6,739 per month
The Multimedia Specialist works on many aspects of video, television, live-streaming and multi-media productions within the Office of Crisis Communications and Public Affairs. This position would lend their professional skillset to design and develop audiovisual systems that support and enhance the team.

Photographer/Videographer (Television Specialist)

Salary: $5,383 – $6,739 per month
The Photographer/Videographer works on audiovisual storytelling within the Office of Crisis Communications and Public Affairs. This position shoots/edits videos, supports live-stream events, and provides technical assistance on media events.
