Los Tigres Del Norte Lend Their Voices to Urge the Latino Community to Get Vaccinated

Members of the international music sensation roll up their sleeves to encourage others to do the same

Members of the legendary band Los Tigres del Norte are among the latest who have been vaccinated against COVID-19. In this new public service video, they join more than 100 million people across the United States and the tens of millions in California who have received the COVID-19 vaccine.

Latinos have been hit especially hard by the virus. Band members say it’s urgent for everyone to get the COVID-19 vaccine as soon as they are eligible. In their video message, they note the approved vaccines in use are highly effective and will protect their families, their community, and their fans—as Los Tigres look forward to performing in the near future.

Please share this public service video with your networks. InformaGente is produced in English and in Spanish by Listos California, the statewide disaster preparedness campaign anchored in the Governor’s Office of Emergency Services (Cal OES), in partnership with two leading national Latino organizations, the National Hispanic Foundation for the Arts (NHFA), and the League of United Latin American Citizens (LULAC).

Also, as COVID-19 continues to affect many, we would also like to share an earlier InformaGente episode featuring Jorge Hernandez of Los Tigres del Norte and share critical tips to improve the health and safety of essential workers across the state, as well as how to seek medical care regardless of immigration status and the importance of slowing the spread of COVID-19.

Watch the episode with Los Tigres Del Norte band leader Jorge Hernandez and Rosaicela Estrada from the El Sol Neighborhood Education Center here (en Español).
