If you experienced any impact from the Los Angeles County wildfires or high winds between January 7 and January 31, 2025, you may be eligible for assistance from FEMA and the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA).
With the March 31, 2025, application deadline approaching, it’s important to apply—regardless of the extent of property damage, economic loss, or whether you believe your insurance is sufficient.
Insurance
If you are underinsured, FEMA disaster assistance may help cover basic needs related to damages directly caused by the disaster. While FEMA cannot duplicate insurance payments, it may provide aid where insurance falls short.
To be considered for FEMA assistance:
- Report all insurance coverage when you apply.
- File a claim with your insurance company as soon as possible to determine what is covered.
- Complete the FEMA and/or SBA application process to see what additional assistance you may qualify for.
