***UPDATE*** Local Assistance Center Opens in Lassen County for Beckwourth Complex Wildfire Survivors

Published:

In the ongoing mission to support survivors impacted by the most recent round of wildfires, the California Governor’s Office of Emergency Services (Cal OES), in coordination with local and state agencies, announces the opening of a new Local Assistance Center (LAC).  The Lassen County LAC is intended to support survivors affected by the lightning-sparked Beckwourth Complex Fire that broke out three miles northeast of Beckwourth on July 3, 2021. As of 2 p.m. July 27, 2021, the Beckwourth Complex Fire has burned nearly 106,000 acres and is 98 percent contained.

LACs are activated following major disasters to support survivors and businesses that have suffered disaster-related losses or damages. Each center is unique and locally-driven with support from local, state, federal, and non-profit agencies. Please reach out directly to the County or Local Assistance Center for the best information on recovery services. Cal OES will provide updates as new information becomes available.
