Cal OES to Hold Hazard Mitigation Summit to Build Community Resilience

The California Governor’s Office of Emergency Services (Cal OES) is pleased to invite local leaders, emergency management professionals, and community planning partners to a two-day hazard mitigation summit created especially for those working to reduce or eliminate natural hazard risk to local communities.

The summit will provide a forum to strengthen partnerships among state and local stakeholders, building long-term community resiliency, gaining insights from state and local hazard mitigation experts, obtaining information about mitigation funding opportunities, and developing a better understanding of mitigation strategies to break the cycle of damage, reconstruction, and further damage.
