California’s lead emergency management agency has an immediate opening for an experienced human resources professional to join our growing team of human resources and administration experts charged with supporting the state’s efforts to keep Californians safe during times of crisis. Our department is growing through an investment from the Governor and State Legislature and this position will have the opportunity to shape and advise in the recruitment, training and retention of the next generation of California’s emergency managers. Our department is a diverse mix of first responders, telecommunications professionals, grants managers, attorneys and so many more.
This position will work closely with the Cal OES Executive Team as well as the California Department of Human Resources and state agency partners. The successful candidate will have a background in state human resources practices, bring a problem-solving mindset and thrive in the fast-paced environment.
