A strong atmospheric river system will bring rain, snow, isolated thunderstorms and gusty winds Thursday through Saturday.

River, urban and small stream flooding impacts will be possible throughout much of northern, central and coastal California at elevations below 5,000 feet due to the combination of heavy rainfall and snow melt.

Wind gusts of up to 45 mph will be possible Thursday night into Friday. Wind gusts up to 60 mph expected for higher elevations in the Sierra.
