Cal OES Prepositions Firefighting Resources, as of November 6, across California Due to Strong Winds Provoking Fire Weather

Published:

Critical fire weather, including dry and windy conditions, is expected over the next few days. In anticipation of this elevated fire threat, the California Governor’s Office of Emergency Services (Cal OES) is working proactively to preemptively place firefighting resources in high-risk areas. The National Weather Service has issued a Red Flag Warning in the Bay Area, south through the greater Los Angeles area, due to gusty offshore winds expected to last until 7 a.m. on November 7.
