In partnership with Ventura County, the California Governor’s Office of Emergency Services (Cal OES) opens a Local Assistance Center (LAC) for the Mountain Fire at the Ventura County Office of Education Conference & Education Services Center on Thursday, November 14.
LACs are activated following disasters to support survivors and businesses suffering disaster-related losses or damages.
Each center is locally operated with support from state agencies, federal partners and non-profit organizations.

Hours of Operation: Monday thru Saturday, 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. (CLOSED SUNDAYS)

- Can assist with replacing lost or destroyed driver’s license
- California Employment Development Department (EDD)
- Can assist with disaster unemployment due to impacts from the fires
- California Department of Public Health (CDPH)
- Can assist with attaining vital documents and public health information
- California Franchise Tax Board (FTB)
- Can assist with disaster tax information
- California Department of Insurance (CDI)
- Can assist with attaining vital documents and assist with insurance claims
- Contractors State License Board (CSLB)
- Can provide a list of authorized contractors who are verified to assist with rebuilding
- California Department of Veteran Affairs (Cal Vet)
- Can provide services to Veterans
- Department of Housing and Community Development (TENTATIVE)
- Can provide disaster housing information
